If you think why your goods are late or don't get delivered on time by using Capital Transport its cause: the guys in the office don't give the jobs out straight away till it is in the afternoon for example: Customer has placed an order for pick up at 7 am that order will be picked up by the afternoon and with numerous phone calls to capital to ask when will it be picked up the driver get the job at around 12:30 to 2 pm. I will not recommend anyone to use this CAPITAL TRANSPORT, the worst company to deal with.

Was told that my mattress would be delivered between the hours of 12 and 6:00pm on the Saturday. Waited all day and was rung at 5.30 pm and told that the driver had had a bingle and could not deliver that night. Was asked what time would suit on the following day (Sunday) and that he definitely would deliver at that time. It is now 4.50 pm and he is still not here, I can't believe a company can run a business like this and that I can be treated like this. Absolutely shocking!!!!!! I would never never recommend them to anybody.

Shocking shocking shocking!!!! I am still waiting. They are rude inconsiderate and selfish people to work for. They think your superman on the road and most of the time you think you're the only guy on the road with the amount of work they dishout to you. The pay rate is terrible for the drivers as they focus on getting the customers business based on undercutting the competitor which hurts the drivers pocket at the end of the day and the most disgusting thing about the company is not only they tend to change their rules as they please but also talk and treat you like a slave. If your intending to be an owner driver don't go to capital you will seriously regret doing so because you will become so brain damaged it is not funny.

We were talked into using Capital Transport as they convinced us that their service was as good, if not better, than our previous courier company; and that their rates were significantly lower. While they were correct about their lower rates, their promise of service couldn't have been further from the truth.

Their standard Sydney metro service has a 4 hour window. On numerous occasions, they struggled to deliver in this window, on several occasions they hadn't even picked up the stock before the 4 hour window finished. The customer service team seem to completely ignore this promise of a delivery window when inquiring about an ETA.

They seem rather unhelpful, and frustrated, on the occasions I've needed to speak to them. Their online driver tracking services are almost never up to date, sometimes the last known locations were 40 minutes ago. In one incident, when we were trying to find out the location of a driver with our stock, the customer service team informed me that they could not call him, and simply did not know where he was. When booking, you are given an ETA which I assume is only a guess, since the delivery is never made anywhere near this ETA time. The standard and personal hygiene of the drivers leaves a lot to be desired. Some drivers have a very low understanding of the English language, which makes it extremely hard to pass on information to them, or through them. I have also been informed by several different people that they will raise their rates after two or three months.

In summary, this whole experience has been disappointing. While we have saved some money with the lower rates, we are running the very real risk of losing clients due to the poor delivery standards.

I strongly urge you to not waste your time with this business. I have just had the luck to complaint to their General Manager Greg Barnes about the fact that Capital Transport has not been able to delivery my mattress for over 3 weeks because it is 'too heavy'. The most unfriendly conversation I have ever had and apparently Greg was talking to me like giving orders to his drivers, and has absolutely no interest in handling unhappy customer at all. While I was trying to enquiry a time frame of their proposed tomorrow delivery so that I can make myself available for the access, given the fact they had scheduled a day for delivery last week but they never turned up! The reception women Lauren told me that I need to call back at 5pm today. She got quite angry when I asked to speak to the manager.

Manager Jason has suggested to deliver to my garage then I need to get removalist to bring the mattress to my bedroom, while they advertise themselves to be specialised in indoor furniture delivery. The general manager firstly absolutely denied they have the mattress with them. After checked with the warehouse, just to find it there, then blamed me giving him wrong information and they have OHSC issues preventing them delivering to my address (I live in a normal Sydney Metropolitan suburb), and I have bothered him as a 'general manager' for such things.

It is a matter of time for them to be out of business. These people need to understand that without customers, they would not have a mattress for them to deliver. I am bringing this to court.

Will keep you guys updated. My company has been using Capital for just over a year now, currently in conjunction with another courier company for certain deliveries. Capital Call Staff are very pleasant and helpful and I can't say I've ever had any issues when needing to speak to them over the phone. The Sales representative is attentive and follows through when they promise to do something. Most of the drivers I've had contact with are very polite and helpful when it comes to loading the job and are willing to follow additional instructions regarding deliveries. The reasons I have not given them 5 stars is in regards to the occasional driver and operations handling. I understand that in general, courier drivers have a very high turn-over rate.

All the drivers I've seen on a regular basis are very pleasant and polite and most of them know me by name. The trouble happens when we have new drivers who either do not seem to have an adequate grasp of the english language or are unwilling to listen. I have on one occasion, had a courier who did not want to speak to me, simple because I was female and quote 'didn't know what I was talking about'. (Not the ethnicity you are probably thinking.) I did report the incident to Capital and I have not seen that courier again. I understand that people can not be discriminated against, nor do I wish them to be, but a sightly more stringent screening process during interviews is possibly needed regarding one's ability to communicate in the dominant language of the country and social skills. In regards to operations handling, there are times when jobs have been late by quite significant amounts, with no contact from Capital to advise that the deliveries will be late. I know that no one can be perfect every time, but when deliveries become frequently late, more than 15% of deliveries over a month, something needs to be looked.

Overall I think Capital are a very good company and we will definitely continue to use them. I hope that with my feed-back they will be able to tighten up those areas that are letting them down.
