I’m sure there may be quite a lot of few people who may have not paid attention the version of Paint Tool SAI they’re using. But, I would like to announce that Paint Tool SAI 1.2.0 has been officially released (stable version) on their English page. This may be old news considering that it was released on their main page since March 10, 2014. Although, version 1.2.0 was originally a beta that you’d have to go on their Japanese version of their site just to get their beta versions of it. Regardless of that fact though, I will gladly go and fill you in on how to get it and install/update it. For brand new users of SAI: Download the full installer from or go to their main page at to download it.

* It is recommended you install it on the Desktop instead of the C:/ drive as some users experienced problems with settings now saving and such. For current users of SAI: Download their update installer or go to the main page as mentioned for new users. Run the installer and have it target the SAI directory/folder you installed it in. You may choose to have it remake a desktop icon or re-associate.sai files with it if it wasn’t already.
