I have had an issue updating to windows 8 on Acer W500 I seem to have resoved meny of the problems after reinstalling windows 8 three times does any body know if Adobe CS2 is compatable with windows 8 as it might have been one issue I had with windows 8 on a pervious intallation might have caused unstable tablet. Adobe is your best source of support on Photoshop CS2, however, I'm thinking that CS2 support has probably ended by now. Since then, they have released CS3, CS4, CS5, CS6 and the CC editions. CS2 was designed and tested in the 32-bit XP era, so you'll probably have to do some workarounds to get it to work on Windows 8 or 8.1. Things I would suggest trying are: • Installing/running it in Windows XP compatibility mode • When installing, rather than taking the default installation folder of C: Program Files (x86), try a different folder name like C: Programs-2 I'm not even sure if Adobe is maintaining their servers that check the activation of Photoshop CS2. You might want to ask on the Adobe Community forums to see what they recommend.
